As an employee in the induction heating industry, Wu Qingbo observed poor management and quality assurance resulting in substandard results for clients. Wu founded his company, Kuo Chun Induction Heating (KCIH), in 1980 with the aspiration of creating an induction heating service that would meet his high personal standards.

KCIH was founded on strict principles of performance and quality assurance, quickly becoming recognized for his outstanding results. KCIH parts have been used globally, including clients from Germany, Japan, Italy, the U.K., and the U.S.A.. Wu prides himself on the praise he would receive from client representatives during factory visits.

In 2006, KCIH expanded its cooperation with Taichung Seiki Group (Taiwan Precision) and upgraded its machinery. This resulted in even higher results, with improved gear quality and noise reduction.
